THE BIG BANG! And, ‘There was LIGHT! There was LIGHT everywhere!

It would appear, the BIG BANG being the proverbial fly in the ointment. Moreover, that there was a BIG BANG millions years ago. No, says the Church, “God created heaven and earth in six days; on the seventh day He rested. That, they say, was six thousand years ago.

Scientists know better. What options do they have? The Evolution Theory is the hole in the wall. The problem, what about…

The Light has come into the world, and people who do evil things are judged guilty because they love the dark more than the light.

Allow me to explain: Should the Theory of Evolution reach the status of an Ideology it would make a mockery of Christianity. The scientists are not to blame. Indeed, I have great admiration for them. The Church, they are to blame they with their ill-advised argument that the Bible says God created heaven and earth in six days; that was 6 000 years ago. In addition, they say the Bible is no handbook.

I would argue the Bible is a handbook. Maybe not a scientific handbook but a handbook concerning attaining the Christian hope, Eph 1:3-, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ. According as he has chosen us in him before the world’s foundation, that we should be holy and blameless before him in love; having marked us out beforehand for adoption through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.”

Yes, I know the Bible starts off with, Gen 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Should the Church, I’m not referring to a particular denomination rather to the theologians—the Bible scientists. If only they would reach out a helping hand toward Scientists, assisting them, from a Biblical perspective, in proving a BIG BANG.

All denominations, I believe, believe one way or another, the Bible being ‘Inspired’. The problem, were the contents inspired but the translators misunderstands and wrongly translates, is the translation ‘inspired’.

An typical example is Gen 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” This differs from the original. In addition one must acknowledge the Bible is not a scientific handbook, it assumes that, in time, readers will discover concerning laws of gravity and theory of relativity. A handbook on the operating of an electrical mixer does not concern itself as to how electricity is generated.

The Bible reads, Mar 16:16, “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” The question that begs an answer, what must one believe? If then, believing precedes baptism, why the acrobatics in not meeting the terms? Some denominations sprinkle babies. Others immerse three times while some immerse only once. Then there are those who pour a jug of water over the candidate.

The Word is ‘inspired’ but the scientist/clergy do things their way. ‘At the end of the day’, who will be saved? Moreover, saved from what? Will it be the babe, the one on whom water had been poured, the one dipped once or the one, just to make sure, was dipped three times?

In solving a mathematical problem without keeping to the rules how can one expect a correct answer in spite of spending hours of one’s time? Is it possible that all the denominations could be right? Can one blame scientists for accepting Darwinism?

This is where you went wrong

However, can one blame our present church leaders? They received instruction from those before them who in turn from those before them. Are the so-called church fathers to blame?

While we’re on the subject, what happened to, 1Co 14:37, “If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord”? It has reference to verse 34, “Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.”

Paul, on the subject of honouring God’s word, writes, Tit 2:3-, “The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things. That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, living under the authority of their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.” I’m not trying to defend the husband’s authority. To my mind, husbands are the guilty ones.

What is overlooked, God is protecting women. What is one to understand from, 1Ti 2:15, “But women will be saved by having children, if they stay faithful, loving, holy, and modest.” This has reference to verse 12, “This is what is proper for women who claim to have reverence for God. A woman must learn in silence, in keeping with her position. I don’t allow a woman to teach or to have authority over a man. Instead, she should be quiet.” If this means that women who do not have children cannot be ‘saved’, it would be absurd.

What if translators wrongly understand the ‘spoken Word’ and, in so doing, incorrectly translates, will that abolish the Word? Paul’s view concerning a similar situation, Rom 3:3-, “And if some have no faith, will that make the faith of God without effect? In no way: but let God be true, though every man is seen to be untrue; as it is said in the Writings, That Your words may be seen to be true, and You may be seen to be right when You are judged.”

Would one be in the position to blame translators in that day? Indeed no, it is written, Php 2:12, “ So then, my beloved, even as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling for it is God which worketh in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure…”

No, I have not forgotten concerning the BIG BANG.

Allow me explaining concerning this blaming one another attitude. Adam blamed the woman. Note his defence; “That woman, the one You  gave me, she taught me to eat, I did not ask for a wife.” The woman blamed the serpent. Did God wink at the trespass?

This is where Evolution clouds the topic. The trespass, Adam’s eating, is accredited to the whole of humanity, Rom 5:-18-, “Therefore, everyone was condemned through one failure, and everyone received God’s life-giving approval through one verdict. Clearly, through one person’s disobedience humanity became sinful, and through one person’s obedience humanity will receive God’s approval.”

Jesus is the One who had to die; He paid the debt He did not owe,  Act 2:23, “God had already planned and decided that Jesus would be handed over to you. So you took Him and had evil men put Him to death on a cross.”According to the Bible, ‘we’ are all sinners; ‘we’ were in Adam when he ate. One would not expect that ruling from a so-called just God. Fortunately, that’s not end of story. Jesus, because of his incarnation, had no share in the trespass. Yet, He was put to death. This was, however, according to the ‘master script’, 1Pe 1:17-, “So if you call God your Father, live your time as temporary residents on earth in fear. He is the God who judges all people by what they have done, and He doesn’t play favourites.

“Realize that you weren’t set free from the worthless life handed down to you from your ancestors by a payment of silver or gold which can be destroyed. Rather, the payment that freed you was the precious blood of Christ, the Lamb with no defects or imperfections. He is the Lamb who was known long ago before the world existed, but for your good He became publicly known in the last period of time. Through Him you believe in God who brought Christ back to life and gave Him glory. So your faith and confidence are in God.”

Those, of the Theory of Evolution, by its teaching obviously discount that ‘we’ are all Adam’s offspring. The Adam, created by God some 6 000 years ago. According to my totalling it would be 3 954 BC. Reckoning after the Exile is in accordance to ‘outside’ calculations. Not only are the Evolutionists guilty as many denominations consider the Garden of Eden event a myth. Does this not make the death of Christ, on a cross, a mockery?

How can one report, Gen 1:1, “In the beginning God created heaven and earth.” The Bible teaches, as difficult it is to understand, that God is from eternity, Isa 40:28, “Don’t you know? Haven’t you heard? The LORD is the eternal God, Creator of the earth. He never gets weary or tired; his wisdom cannot be measured.” The church can’t explain this mystery; neither the Evolutionists. The goalposts are thus even. A more favourable translation would be “On a certain occasion…” The next hurdle to cross is, who created space? Moreover, what was there before space became space? Was there nothing? Then, who created ‘the nothing’?

I believe the Bible does cater for such blunt questions. To start, some translators led us to believe that God, in the beginning, created heaven and earth. No, God created heavens and earth. The YLT translation reads, “In the beginning of God’s preparing the heavens and the earth…” What is one’s understanding of heavens? Paul writes concerning a ‘third heaven’, 2Co 12:2, “ I have known a man in Christ, fourteen years ago–whether in the body I have not known, whether out of the body I have not known, God hath known–such an one being caught away unto the third heaven,”

Christians, believers of the Talmud and Muslims believe in ‘a seventh heaven’, ‘nirvana’ even ‘cloud nine’ a place of extreme happiness; the highest of heavens. One speaks about two dimensions, three dimensions and a fourth dimension where time plays a role. Is it not possible to equate ‘heavens’ in the same manner? The first heaven could be the blue, one sees. The second heaven likened to outer space. The third could be that heaven Elijah knew about, 2Ki 6:17, “Then Elisha prayed, “LORD, please open his eyes so that he may see.” The LORD opened the servant’s eyes and let him see. The mountain around Elisha was full of fiery horses and chariots.”

What I’m trying to say is there are dimensions that are ‘invisible’ to the eye. ‘They’ can see us. God did not need space in which to create; He created in ‘another dimension’. With all due respect, God’s throne room could be just across the street maybe even closer. It is something to consider. Let’s take it one-step further. Scientists spend millions American dollars in an attempt to discover what happen seconds before the BIG BANG. On a lighter note, was there a BANG? There was no ear to hear.

The Bible tells of a conversation between two Heavenlies (the First Cause), millions of years before the BIG BANG. Says the One to the Other (me putting words in His mouth), “I have a dream of having children, children with a will of their own; like Us. Children who wish to be My children out of love for Me. Should I have children of my own the danger would exist that they may become rebellious, undreamed of.”

God did not bring about Adam’s eating of the forbidden fruit; He had foreknowledge. God continues , “I will need someone who would be prepared to die, be the ransom for Adam and his descendants.” The Other, we now know Him as the Word, Joh 1:1-, “Towards a beginning was the one who is called the Word. The Word was with the God and was truly a God. From the very beginning, the Word was with the God. And with this Word, the God created all things. Nothing was made without the Word. Everything that was created received its life from Him, and his life gave light to everyone. The light keeps shining in the dark, and darkness has never put it out.”

Without hesitation, the Word replied, “I will go,” as is written, Heb 10:5, “For this reason, when Christ came into the world, He said, ‘You did not want sacrifices and offerings, but you prepared a body for Me. You did not approve of burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin.’ Then I said, ‘I have come! (It is written about Me in the scroll of the book.) I have come to do what You want, my God.’

“You did not approve of burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin.’ …He did away with sacrifices in order to establish the obedience that God wants. We have been set apart as holy because Jesus Christ did what God wanted Him to do by sacrificing his body once and for all.” The Bible is the handbook concerning this topic. The Word, Jesus volunteered to be that Ransom. The Incarnation, the arrangements for bringing it about is nowhere near as described by the translations of Matthew and Luke’s account. Suffice for now, Joh 1:14, “The Word became a human being and lived here with us.”

With due respect, the Two had a huge task awaiting; assuring the children’s adoption a legality, Heb 8:6, “But now hath He obtained a ministry the more excellent, by how much also He is the mediator of a better covenant, which hath been enacted upon better promises.” First, there would need be an ‘opposition’; a Satan, one to deceive Woman. Moreover,  the act of sacrificing had to become acceptable to ‘both parties’.

Gen 3:20, “The man Adam named his wife Eve because she would become the mother of all who live.” She was called Woman because she was taken out of Man. We are out of Eve. Jesus answered Nicodemus, Joh 3:5, “Jesus answered, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, If one is not generated out of water and Spirit, he is not able to enter into the kingdom of God. That having been generated out of the flesh is flesh, and that having been generated out of the Spirit is spirit’.”

Angels and other heavenly beings were to be created in order to have ‘fallen angels’. One of these angels, named Lucifer, is mentioned, Isa 14:12, “How art thou fallen from heaven, Lucifer, son of the morning! Thou art cut down to the ground that didst prostrate the nations! And thou that didst say in thy heart, I will ascend into the heavens, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit upon the mount of assembly, in the recesses of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.”

Also written in Rev 12:9, “And the great dragon was cast out, the ancient serpent, he who is called Devil and Satan, he who deceives the whole habitable world, he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Yes, I know this is a future event; only to emphasize the fallen angels, too. How long they shared ‘glory’, we don’t know it could have been after  Gen 1:31.

Gen 1:2, “When the earth was as yet unformed and desolate, with the surface of the ocean depths shrouded in darkness, and while the Spirit of the God was hovering over the surface of the waters, God said, “Let there be light!” So there was light.” We know God is Spirit. Who is God’s Spirit?

In the light of 1Cor 2:16 one can say God’s Spirit is his ‘Mind’.

Translators differ as can be seen should one read as from verse 11. Sinners have a sinful spirit and born-again people have a holy spirit; the mind of Christ being a member of his body as is written, 1Co 12:13, “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body–whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free–and we were all given to drink into one Spirit.”

I would put forward ‘she’/’wisdom’, of which Solomon wrote is the ‘mind of God/the ‘Spirit of God’, Pro 8:22-, “The LORD made Me as He began his planning, before his ancient activity commenced. From eternity, I was appointed, from the beginning, from before there was land. When there were no ocean depths, I brought them to birth at a time when there were no springs. Before the mountains were shaped, before there were hills, I was bringing them to birth.

“Even though He had not made the earth, or the fields, or the world’s first grains of dust, when He created the heavens, I was there. When He marked out a circle on the face of the deep, when He made the clouds from above, when the springs of the depths were established, when He set a boundary for the sea so the waters would not exceed his limits, when He marked out the foundations of the earth. Then I was with Him, his master craftsman—I was his delight daily, continuously rejoicing in his presence, rejoicing in his inhabitable world and taking delight in mankind. So listen to Me, children! Blessed are those who obey Me.”

The ‘Spirit of God’ cannot refer to the Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost is from eternity.

The great moment, the BIG BANG, had arrived. All the heavenlies gathered in God’s throne room. John attempted to describe the throne room, Rev 4:6, “Also in front of the throne was something that looked like a glass sea, clear as crystal. Around the throne in the center were four living creatures covered front and back with eyes.” Were Bill Gates given the opportunity to describe the ‘living creatures’ he would, no doubt, first try and obtain patent rights. Just to think God, could, with a mere brain-impulse let appear on the monitors/eyes what He has in mind. One can easily become philosophical when thinking on the greatness of God’s creation; each created according to their species.

Reconsidering Gen 1:2, “And the earth was without form and void.” The ISV reads, Gen 1:2, “When the earth was as yet unformed and desolate…” My understanding is, God did not create our little planet earth in verse 1. Rather, He created all the matter needed for the structuring of the whole universe. Wisdom, above speaks of ‘the world’s first grains of dust’. I picture it would compare, on a much larger scale, to all the building material to rebuild the Twin Towers offloaded on a nearby vacant plot. Imagine all the matter (the invisible atom) , the building material, floating in space, in our dimension, yet unformed and void.

The law of gravity will immediately take effect. Envisage, after millions of years, all ‘the grains of dust’ compressed into a massive ball of ‘boiling hot’ material the size of our solar system. What would one expect to happen? Well, that’s precisely what happened. Under loud angel applause, God leaned over towards Jesus (Joh 1:3. “Through Him all things were made, and apart from Him nothing was made that has been made”), nodded and said, “The time has arrived; let there be light.”

I see Jesus nodding and without hesitation standing-up knowing the moment He executes that request He will be the One, in the far distant future, put to death; the One hanging on a cross. Yet, out of love, He steps closer to the  ‘boiling mass’ and calls out, “Let there be Light!” There, in view of all, in ‘our dimension’, flared up the greatest fireworks this dimension will ever again experience. There was light! There was light everywhere. My imagination gets the better of me. I see our little lump of bits and pieces, later known as planet Earth, shoot off in a direction at top speed. It was LIGHT in every direction. How many million years it sped on till eventually, far enough from any source of light, sped on into a darkness that seemed never to end I would not know. All I know, the Bible says, “And there was evening and there was morning, one day.”

Our planet, Earth, entering its second night

And, our Earth sped on. Now near to some source of light just to find itself in total darkness once again. I would like to compare it with a comet speeding across the heavens. It was only on the third ‘day’, that God willed plants to appear.

One can assume that, that night was of shorter duration, the night it was captured into our solar system. It could even have collided with an existing planet in the process resulting in the asteroids. On the other hand, it also could have split in half; the ‘other half’ being Planet X. That planet would then have ‘life’ on board, ‘the plants God willed to appear’ during the Genesis 1 creation.  Knowing that our sun is a third generation star gives one an idea of how long the first few ‘days’ were; the cooling-off period and Wisdom hard at work within the laws of nature, many of which might not have been discovered, yet.

I would imagine that from then on, it was the start of a 24-hour day in as much it would be applicable to the Genesis 1 creation story. Further that Lucifer was appointed as ‘ruler’ over that creation as will Christ be over this, restored creation, during the 1 000 years of Peace.

It was during Lucifer’s rule that he wished to exalt himself. Of this period Peter writes, 2Pe 3:5-, “For this they willfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth compacted out of water and amidst water, by the word of God. By which means the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished. But the heavens that now are, and the earth, by the same word has been stored up for fire, being reserved against the Day of Judgment and destruction of ungodly men.”

The Bible describes the close of that period, Gen 2:4, “This is the account of heaven and earth when they were created, at the time when the LORD God made earth and heavens.” Verse 5 is the introduction to our ‘creation story’ where we are the ‘ruling ones,’ Gen 2:5-, ”And no plant of the field was yet in the earth, and no herb of the field had yet sprung up; for Jehovah God had not caused it to rain upon the earth.

“And there was not a man to till the ground; but there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. And Jehovah God planted a garden eastward, in Eden; and there He put the man whom He had formed.”

At last, after trillions years of waiting God could now ‘get down to business’, enacting his planned adoption of children. The reason for the Gen 1 event was the need of the Deceiver, someone who would, of own desire, rebel. Lucifer that Serpent also known as Satan, ‘put up his hand’. His first target now was the now ruler, Adam. The question, which is in need of an acceptable answer, “Are humans spirit, soul and body or, spirit and body; a tri- or a dichotomy being”? Would this not be a slow on the uptake question? Similar to, “Wedlock, does it exist of a husband, a wife and a marriage”? Soul is a noun, describing a human who has not yet breathed his last breath. When that is breathed, only a body remains.

It is the Church’s duty to reach out and assist scientists, without evolution, to understand by what manner we became descendants of Adam. To ‘prove’ that Gen 2 was an event 6 000 years ago; that when Adam ate, we all ate. For this reason, we were in need of a Saviour, Jesus being that Saviour. The ‘Handbook’ describes how one can ‘leave’ Adam, ‘enter’ Jesus and sharing His righteous deed,  a ‘death’ and a ‘rebirth’, Gal 3:26-, “You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus; for all of you who have been baptized into Christ, have clothed yourselves with Christ.”

I believe the church has failed in that it is unable to define rebirth and millions are breathing their last breath. Who are they going to blame in That Day? Certainly not ‘Woman’! She is the apple of God’s eye. God has protected her; she is not allowed to teach.

Let us give God the honour He deserves. Who knows, He may have mercy as in Joel’s case and move the hearts of men and women towards righteousness, not only in our country but worldwide. It is written, Rom 1:19-, “Because a knowledge of God is manifest in them; for God hath manifested it in them. “For, from the foundations of the world, the occult things of God are seen, by the intellect, in the things He created, even his eternal power and divinity. So that they might be without excuse; because they knew God, and did not glorify Him and give thanks to Him as God, but became vain in their imaginings, and their unwise heart was darkened.

“And, while they thought within themselves that they were wise, they became fools. And they changed the glory of the incorruptible God into a likeness to the image of a corruptible man, and into the likeness of birds and quadrupeds and reptiles on the earth. For this cause, God gave them up to the filthy lusts of their heart, to dishonour their bodies with them. And they changed the truth of God into a lie; and worshipped and served the created things, much more than the Creator of them, to whom belong glory and blessing, for ever and ever: Amen.

“For this cause, God gave them up to vile passions: for their females changed the use of their natures, and employed that which is unnatural. And so also, their males forsook the use of females, which is natural, and burned with lust toward one another; and, male with male, they did what is shameful, and received in themselves the just recompense of their error. And as they did not determine with themselves to know God, God gave them over to a vain mind; that they might do what they ought not.

“Being full of all iniquity, lewdness, bitterness, malice, covetousness, envy, slaughter, strife, guile, evil machinations, backbiting, slander, being haters of God, scoffers, proud, vain-glorious, devisers of evil things, destitute of reason, disregardful of parents, and to whom a covenant is nothing, neither affection, nor peace, and in whom is no compassion. These, while they know the judgments of God, that he condemneth those to death who perpetrate such things, are not only doers of them, but the companions of such as do them.”

To my mind, the Theory of Evolution is a serious digression. Joh 3:16-, “God loved the people of this world so much that He gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in Him will have eternal life and never really die. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn its people. He sent Him to save them!” Mar 16:16, “He who believes and is baptized shall be saved; he who disbelieves will be condemned.”
